The innovative approach allows a family to make an impact on a youth's life without being fully certified for foster care or adoption. Youth have the opportunity to spend time in a family environment, which they may not be experiencing in their current placement. Sports Buddies develops one-to-one mentoring friendships between an adult and child through participatory and spectator sporting events.
Pairs communicate digitally and in-person in order to develop a post-secondary plan and graduate ready to execute that plan. Community-Based Spending time together out in the local community is primarily how Bigs and Littles develop their relationship. We are currently accepting applications to be considered for a match in Spring Upon applying you will receive information on our COVID policies, or you can email mentor denverkidsinc.
At this time, we are actively recruiting mentors who live in the city of Denver. We currently are not taking applicants who live in Boulder, Castle Rock, Parker or Highlands Ranch due to the proximity to our students. Get Involved Join The Movement.
