Use a pencil to make a mark at the top and bottom of the sliding door frame. Measure 12 inches down from the top of the door frame, and make a mark.

Measure 1 inch above the pet door frame in the patio panel, and mark the door frame. Slide the patio panel to the side to prevent drilling through it in the next step. Slide the patio panel to the side and confirm that the mark is on the right side of the ribbed lines. If the mark is on or to the left of the ribbed lines, readjust the position of the patio panel in the door jamb and mark again.

Find the center of the patio panel at the top, and mark the sliding glass door frame with a pencil. Mark to the left of the ribbed lines on the patio panel at the bottom of the door frame.

Open the sliding glass door and pull the pet door panel away from the edge of the door frame. Hold the T-bracket on the lower sliding glass track and line it up with the mark.

Line the T-bracket up with the drilled holes. Secure it using a Phillips screwdriver and two M4 x 10mm screws. Repeat steps to attach the T-bracket to the top of the door frame. Slide the patio panel into the door jamb, in line with the T-brackets. Line the T-bracket up with the lower mark and hold it on the lower sliding glass track until the adhesive sticks. Line the T-bracket up with the upper mark and hold it on the upper sliding glass track until the adhesive sticks. Align and tape the lock template on the doors with the keeper side on the sliding glass door and the latch side on the pet door pane.

Do not overtighten. Measure and cut the adhesive the length of the latch and keeper. Attach to the mounting plates. Align, tape and trace the lock template on the doors with the keeper side on the sliding glass door and the latch side on the pet door pane. Peel off the adhesive back liner and attach the latch and keeper to the doors. Position the glass sweep along the edge of the back end of the sliding door with the ridged side touching the stationary door.

Peel the back off starting from the top and press in place while moving down the door. Position the weather stripping along the edge of the door that touches the patio panel.
